36 x 36" fluorescent oil painting with dimensional mixed-media accents and glow-in-the-dark details. Cutouts in canvas create another level of dimensional interest. I mix all paints myself from high quality fluorescent powder pigments. All 3-Dimensional details are crafted with durability and longevity in mind and are not fragile or at risk of breaking easily. This is one of my oldest and still remains one of my most favourite pieces. At the time I created this, it was one of my largest paintings and one of the most intricate design ideas I had completed. This piece will forever mark a turning point in my personal and stylistic development as an artist. From this piece forward I can say I truly had solidified my personal style that is visibly cohesive and recognizable as my own throughout all of my work. Though at the time of it's completion I could not truly see how important this piece would be in marking a turning point in my development. As a result, I became confident in my own artistic style and self aware of my own artistic identity. Looking at this piece is looking at the definitive point in my career where I can truly say I found myself as an artist both with my own style and in realizing my own potential-and developing an unwavering confidence to not change my style even when faced with rejection.
